1 Elizabeth Street, Sydney

1 Elizabeth Street, Sydney (Sydney Metro Martin Place)

The Challenge

The Sydney Metro Martin Place integrated station development represented one of the most complex transit-oriented retail opportunities in Australia — framing two premium commercial towers above a flagship underground metro station, with a retail precinct required to serve a diverse mix of commuters, CBD office workers, and the general public simultaneously.

What We Delivered

Noble & Co. provided retail development advisory services to Macquarie Group, supporting the planning, strategy, and delivery of the retail precinct at this landmark station-integrated development. Our work covered retail positioning, operator selection strategy, tenancy configuration, and delivery coordination across a highly complex build environment.

The Outcome

A commercially activated retail precinct that enhances commuter connectivity and urban vibrancy at one of Sydney CBD's most significant transit and commercial addresses, setting a new benchmark for station-integrated retail in Australia.

Key achievements included securing Lune Croissanterie’s first Sydney CBD location and partnering with ETYMON Group to deliver Lou Lou -a two‑level flagship hospitality destination that activates both the concourse and upper levels. The result is a retail and dining environment that reflects Macquarie’s vision for Martin Place as “A Place for Everyone”—a civic, connected, and distinctly Sydney experience.
